Job Description

The hoist operator facilitates the chrome plating process by moving loads of parts through all the required plating solution baths.

Responsibilities

  • Operating various overhead crane hoists safely and efficiently to move parts through various plating tanks.
  • Continuously monitor each step of the plating process for the quality standards of parts.
  • Identifying problems quickly and contributing to problem-solving.
  • Setting up and monitoring the plating process of parts according to various specifications.
  • Monitoring part racks for proper/improper setups.
  • Interpreting daily plating schedules and the many associated part numbers, rack numbers, and plating times.
  • Visually monitor plating baths for possible problems.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Plating Supervisor.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must be safety-minded, self-motivated, and a team player.
  • Visual abilities - depth perception; ability to see objects up close and at distances.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of shift.
